Featured here, Vintage Denim carries heʻe nalu imagery that captures our kūpuna gracefully gliding across the waves. Long before surfing became spectacle or sport, heʻe nalu reflected deep observation, presence, and relationship with kai. It asks us to consider: How do we remember? How do we reconnect?
