Kū i ka Welo invites us to stand in the place where we come from and remember the relationships that continue to shape who we are.

Drawing from archival artwork from Kamehameha Publishing, this collection brings forward scenes of our kūpuna in relationship with ʻāina and kai. Not as distant history, but as reminders that ʻike, movement, joy, and connection have always been part of who we are.

Featured here, Vintage Denim carries heʻe nalu imagery that captures our kūpuna gracefully gliding across the waves. Long before surfing became spectacle or sport, heʻe nalu reflected deep observation, presence, and relationship with kai. It asks us to consider: How do we remember? How do we reconnect? What parts of ourselves still move with the rhythms our kūpuna knew?

Our premium unisex tee is mineral washed to look and feel like your favorite vintage shirt from day one. Made from 100% ringspun cotton, the fabric is substantial yet washed down and exceptionally soft, broken in for years of comfort and wear. Finished with a subtle revealed hem tag featuring the Hawaiian flag as a quiet nod to continuity, identity, and connection.
