The Fighting Eel collaboration with the students of Ke Kula ʻo Kamehameha Kapālama was more than apparel and accessories. It was a celebration of creativity, identity, ʻike, and voice, grounded in E Ola! learning.

Inspired by haumāna and the stories woven through the places and people that nurture them, the collaboration centered student perspectives and expression. At the heart of the collection was KSK ’25 lei maker Taavi Paaluhi, whose lei honoring Kapālama, featuring ʻulei, liko lehua, and lokelani, inspired the design.

Created to uplift student creativity in a visible and meaningful way, the collaboration also helped raise funds for future student activities, creating opportunities for haumāna to explore their passions, deepen their sense of kuleana, and contribute to their ʻohana, kaiāulu, lāhui, and honua.
